  1. Michele, awesome lesson on punctuation. I cannot stand reading something (usually online) that is missing or has incorrect punctuation. It’s something that is simple but can also be tricky, especially use of commas and semicolons. Now, as I am writing this, I am second guessing my punctuation. I’m sure you’ll let me know if I mess it up. Anyway, your lesson was informative and fun. The explanations and examples of punctuation’s effect on sentence meaning were clear. The handout is very useful. I think more individual practice correcting sentences before the group game would allow students to be more comfortable with identifying proper punctuation usage. I know it is tough with a limited amount of time. Job well done!

  2. Michele, I liked your lesson on punctuation. It was informative and entertaining. The use of the silly story of Shawn the Sheep as an example was great. Commas and other punctuation can be difficult to master, especially nowadays when word or other writing programs will point out grammar problems for you, this can lead to lazy punctuation and problems identifying when the grammar checker is wrong. The handout you gave was great and i certainly will use it as a reference in my writing. I agree with Shane that more practice before the game might be helpful. overall it was a good lesson and very informative!

  3. Hi Michele,
I loved your lesson! Your presentation and handout were really on point with the material that you covered. You also presented it in a way that was relatable and easy to understand. I enjoyed how you incorporated the use of a game in your lesson. It was a great group example because we got to bounce our ideas and thoughts off our group members to try and win all the candy! It's always weird adding comments after everyone because my advice is the same as theirs. Add in some more individual examples either before or after the game so that the information from the lesson is really reinforced. Good job!
